My wife and I have a very loving marriage. We are committed to each other and have been since the first week we’ve known each other. I challenge you to find any hetro couple that has as great a relationship as we do. We spend every minute that we are not at work with each other. Our marriage is our number one priority. In the 20 years we have been together we have never spent a night apart. If one of us were in the hospital the other one stayed in the hospital room with her. It is our Constitutional Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Equal Marriage is going to happen whether bigots in Utah want it to or not. You may as well be on the correct side of history or once again look like fools. We had a commitment ceremony one year from the date of our first kiss. If marriage had been legal 20 years ago we would have gotten legally married before ever consummating our love. When civil unions became legal in Vermont we went there and had a civil union in 2000 and finally when legal marriage came to California, in 2005, we were married there for the first and last time we ever need to say “I do”.
All people everywhere no matter their intellectual functioning and even convicts are allowed to be married to those they love. We both were reared in the Mormon church and even served honorable missions. We both prayed to have our sexual orientation be changed well into our thirties until finally we decided to live self actualized lives and accept and love ourselves the way God made us. Please stop this foolishness and wasting taxpayers money and accept that Equal Marriage will happen across our great country and be on the Correct Side of History!
